Stories of help,
hope, and home.
Every project has a story. Here are a few of the people, homes, and moments that remind us why practical help matters.
A New Roof. A Safer Home.
When a roof is failing, it affects so much more than the outside of a house. This project brought a team together to replace the old roof and help protect the home for years to come. What started as a major repair became a reminder of what can happen when people show up, work together, and care for a neighbor in a practical way.
A Safer Way In and Out
Sometimes a simple improvement can make a home feel completely different. This ramp was built to provide a safer, more accessible way to enter and leave the home—adding greater independence, confidence, and peace of mind to everyday life.
A Bathroom Made Safe Again
This bathroom needed more than a cosmetic update—it needed to be rebuilt for safer, more comfortable everyday use. GraceworX helped transform the space with new flooring, fixtures, storage, and an accessible walk-in shower with grab bars. What began as a difficult, deteriorating room became a clean, functional space designed to bring greater safety, dignity, and peace of mind.
A Safer Step Home
A secure entrance can make a meaningful difference in everyday life. For this project, GraceworX installed a new exterior door and frame and rebuilt the step and threshold area to create a safer, sturdier transition in and out of the home. It’s a practical improvement that brings added security, stability, and peace of mind.
IN THEIR WORDS
What the people we serve say.
“GraceworX made something that felt overwhelming feel possible. We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up to help.”
— George Stevenson / Project Recipient
“Volunteering with GraceworX reminded me how much of a difference a few hours can make. We showed up to help with a project, but by the end of the day it felt like we had done something much bigger than a repair. It was meaningful to work alongside others and know that our time and skills were helping someone feel safer and more supported in their own home.”
— Amy Johnson / Volunteer
