Christian Convenience

Christian Convenience

Have you ever been a Christian out of convenience?

Go to church sometimes? Pray sometimes? When is the last time you read your Bible? The actual paper Bible? Do you have a Bible? When was the last time you talked to someone about their salvation or the things above?

It’s easy to say you’re a Christian. Maybe you’re saved. Maybe you aren’t.

But if you are - are you only doing the things above when you have the time? Or are you making the time? What are you doing for yourself versus what you do for God?

If you aren’t - it’s hard to say you’re a Christian. I spent my entire life saying I was saved, telling people I went to church, talking about how important God was, showing up at church. I played the part well. But it wouldn’t have saved me - and it wouldn’t have prevented me from spending eternity in hell. Being a Christian when it is convenient - wouldn’t have made a difference at all.

It’s pretty simple. If you believe that there is a God and you believe there is a place called Hell - you should be saved. And if you are saved - you should be reading your bible, falling on your face daily and praying to God and going to church. You should be surrounding yourself with other Christians and leading a life Christ would be proud of.

Take a look at your life and see where you can do better, then do it.

The entire Bible makes us a better believer. But here are a couple of my favorite verses;

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:23‬

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:12‬

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15
