Are You Listening?
Listening to our own voice is not always a good idea. And not repenting of our sins, is definitely not a good idea.
If you’re not listening to God, hearing His word or you’re ignoring Him and placing your Will over His, you’re in for trouble.
God can get our attention when we decide not to listen. This can come through hardship, suffering and even through a loved one. Trust me, I know this firsthand.
Many of us pray and ask for God to help us, only to ignore what He is trying to tell us.
This happened in 2 Chronicles 33:1-20 when Manesseh ignored God, set up idols and began to worship them. God wasn’t happy and tried to get his attention.
It took pain and suffering from the Assyrian military to remind Manessah that there is only one true God.
He “humbled him greatly”.
“And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.”
