Teaching the Children (guest devotion from Lucas)
Teaching The Children (guest devotion)
Train up the child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
(Proverbs 22:6)
If you have a child, or if you are a child, this applies to you.
As a parent, mother or father, you need to raise your children well, so they will grow up to know what is right and what is wrong.
They need to be able to tell the difference between do’s and don’t’s. But especially, you should teach them to love God by doing weekly studies or devotions like you are now.
As the kids, your parents aren’t always going to be there to help you decide what to do in your life. You need to use what your parents taught you, so as you grow older you can make the right choices. But only you can do that. No one else can do that for you. You will always have experience and your family.
I am an 11 year old boy writing this. I am proud to say that my parents are raising me in the way of the Lord. They always teach and help me to grow towards God each day and one step at a time.
“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.”
Ephesians 6:4
“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children.”
Isaiah 54:13
