Investing

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through and steal:

Matthew 6:20

We invest in stocks, bonds, rental properties, and many other things to generate money. Time is invested in education to increase income to provide a better lifestyle. We work jobs to provide the essentials to live. Loyalty to employers is invested for the hope of security. Jesus Christ is the only investment that provides security along with peace and joy that no amount of money can provide.

There is nothing wrong with the pursuit of a better income, unless that becomes the entirety of our existence. I know that the pursuit of business took priority over most things in my life, I am ashamed to say that  sometimes it even came before my relationship with Jesus. This didn't happen intentionally, but sometimes the business that we run ends up running us, when our priorities are out of alignment.

The whole Coronavirus has been a great example of how quickly and drastically things can change which can eliminate our sense of security. I thoroughly believe that each of us will have to make the decision to believe on God completely,  or not.

Our lives are only a dot, eternity is a line.  INVEST IN THE LINE!!!

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory.

Philipians 4:19

Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

1 Timothy 6:19
